Education is a personal issue for me, and as a lifelong teacher, coach and educator, I will fight for our teachers and students by ensuring they have the resources to learn and succeed.

 

• We need to raise teacher pay in order to retain and attract the very best to educate our students.

 

• Fight for full academic transparency, so our parents know what is occurring in the classroom and school curriculum and they have a voice in their student’s education.

 

• Work to support more opportunities in technical and vocational education.

The small businessperson is the heart and soul of the American Dream, and I'm committed to supporting business growth and business opportunity for all people.

 

• Remove and reduce excess taxes and fees.

• Remove any hindrances to those who wish to engage in entrepreneurship.

 

• Continue to support the CLIMBER loan fund.

• Support energy independence through a well-rounded approach utilizing oil, gas, solar and wind energies.

 

• Support increased tax incentives for corporations and individuals purchasing electric energy vehicles.

These men and women who wear the blue put their lives on the line for each of us every day, and now, more than ever, they need our support to help with training so they can be better equipped to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

 

• Increase training so officers can do their job better and safer.

 

• Increase personnel and manpower to help keep communities safe and so that our officers are not overworked.

 

• Increase resources and community support initiatives.

Water is a scarce resource in Colorado and without it, we cannot meet the continued demands of an ever-growing state. It is vital that we work in a bipartisan manner through legislation, awareness and collaboration with the government and private sectors to find meaningful and lasting solutions to address our water needs for all of Colorado.
